In Mahara exists four kind of groups.

Groups I Own
That are groups you launched by yourself. It is possible to set own restrictions for joining your groups. You can choose whether
- Every user of Mahara has access to your groups (open membership)
- Every user of Mahara can request a membership in your groups and you decide the activation for the request (request membership)
- Access invitation only by your own (only invitation)
Groups I’m In
Listing of all groups you entered, including your own groups.
Groups I’m Invited To
Listing of all groups you invited for access.
Groups I Want To Join
Listing of all groups which you request for add, but no access authorisation by the group owners until now.
