Groups with controlled membership allow to set restriction for joining the group. It allow to give access only for selected members of Mahara. You can anytime delete the members from your groups.

Adding contacts to your group

Mahara members have not be mandatory in your contact list to add them to your groups. Go to menu item groups and select user from your contactlist (My Friends) or other Mahara members (Find Friends). Search for Mahara members and enter their personal profile. To enter the profile, just click on the name of the person. You have now the possiblity to invite the person to your groups. Select the group in the drop box on the right menu (invite to) and confirm it with clicking on Send invite.

Delete group members

To delete members from your group, you have to select the right group. All members of the group are shown belong to the other. Besides the member name are a drop box with the actual status (member). Change the status from member to delete and affirm it with the button Update membership.
